Let's take a moment to explore one of the three core values of Searl Soap Company: Health.

My goal for every product I make is for it to not only not be harmful for your body, but actually be beneficial, helpful, healthy. So many of the personal care and home cleaning products we use every day are a minefield of harmful toxins and concerning ingredients. Not with my products!

All of my products are made using natural, real ingredients. I realize these words can mean different things to different people and be buzzwords companies use as a marketing strategy, so here’s what they mean at Searl Soap Company.

Almost every one of my ingredients can actually be eaten and you can understand what they are by their names - coconut oil, olive oil, beeswax, cocoa butter, essential oils, goat's milk. Whenever possible, the ingredients chosen are organic and/or non-GMO because these are just going to be better for us. In addition, my products are only scented with quality essential oils that have been extracted through steam distillation or cold pressing.

These high quality, natural ingredients are also very beneficial for your body! They’re packed with vitamins and minerals that protect your skin, fight bacteria, reduce inflammation, and support your immune system and overall health. These ingredients are also highly moisturizing, helping to protect your skin… hair… lips from damage while improving elasticity and softness.

Beyond this, I always try to specifically include ingredients which increase the nourishment for your body. For example, did you know I use beer as a base for my shampoo bars, even though it makes the production process more complex? I do this to increase the lather and give your hair more shine, but also for the health benefits for your hair. The malt and hops are rich in proteins which nourishes and strengthens hair. The nutrients found in beer can even help repair dried or damaged hair!

There are so many other products on the market claiming to be natural or healthy but still contain concerning synthetic ingredients. Simply put, you won’t find that with me.

That’s a quick overview of my first core value: HEALTH. Now let's explore the other two core values of Searl Soap Company—SUSTAINABILITY and TRANSPARENCY.
